EiDoxis Limited
EiDoxis Limited is the creator of ROOMS.ROOMS 3d desktops present 3d virtual reality worlds where MS Windows normally presents wallpaper and icons. You can explore these worlds, download them from the internet and create and distribute your own. Just like desktop wallpaper except that it is 3d. ROOMS is fast and flexible. You can create your own objects and animations - or download them from the ROOMS home page. Objects can act as shortcuts to Web pages or files on your PC. You can create behaviors for your objects (using EVAC commands) and have them respond to in-world events like collisions, Windows events like mouse clicks, or real-world events like the time. Think of ROOMS as extending the role of Windows wallpaper: ROOMS in relation to 3d Desktop Wallpapers ROOMS in relation to Animated Wallpapers ROOMS in relation to windows wallpaper ROOMS in relation to 3d wallpaper And what of EiDoxis? EiDoxis developed and continues to maintain ROOMS. We maintain the ROOMS Web site and create CoolWare updates for ROOMS (which work with both FreeWare and PayWare ROOMS). On the horizon... New Look EiDoxis at Eidoxis.com and music publishing at Getcha-Itchi at getcha-itchi.com (sounds like getcha-itchy) EiDoxis promotes, supports and sponsors broader activities than desktop customisation. These activities include fine art and painting as expressed at Abstract Art in 3D and an interest in the economy, trade and finance and computer modelling, as for instance at economic model of recession or more broadly at 1stAnnex - Idea, Theory, Art and Science. There is also a discussion on morality (or ethics) and the distinction between technology and science (if there is one). In relation to epimox (and epimoxene) there is the question "Are the scientists responsible for what they choose to research?" discuss epimox Or, more bluntly, how much has corporate finance and big business got to do with scientific ressearch, as against pure intellectual curiosity? What is the responsibility of the individual in an organisation? To what extent do individuals defer moral responsibility to the organisation/corporation which pays them? [In case you are wondering what any of this has to do with a technology company, remember programming is about selecting abstractions, and programmers like nothing better than problem solving] Anything else to say about anything is said on the ROOMS Web site or the ROOMS mirror site.
